Green screen studio & compositing

Key it out, composite it in, and put your speakers wherever you want them.

A green screen does one thing: it lets you film someone or something once, and decide afterwards what sits behind them. The background is chosen in the edit, changed without reshooting, and versioned as many times as you have versions to deliver.

Our studio is mobile. The screen, the lighting, the 4K camera, the lav mics and the teleprompter fit in one vehicle: we build the set in your own offices one morning, and your speakers don’t have to book a day of travel.

Keying doesn’t rescue a bad shoot: it needs a screen lit flat, enough distance between the subject and the cloth, and light on the subject that matches the background they will be given. Those three things are settled during the shoot, never afterwards.

And the background you add doesn’t have to exist. A workshop, a room, a branded set, a 3D environment: it is the same compositing work, and it is often cheaper than finding the real place and taking a crew there.

The studio is built in your own offices

For GF Machining Solutions, the Customer Services offer was recorded on our mobile green screen, built on site: the screen, the lighting and the control gear fit in one vehicle.

That is what makes it possible to record eight pieces to camera in a day, without moving anyone.

What a green screen allows and a real set doesn’t

For Amplitude, the greetings video shot on green screen made it possible to change the background after the shoot and to version the same take several ways — which a real set rules out.

It is the format that suits series: training, tutorials, internal news updates, where the picture has to stay identical from one episode to the next.

03

How comfortable the speaker is decides the quality

Most people who step in front of a camera are not used to it. We allow time to prepare, a teleprompter when the script is dense, and short takes rather than one long one.

The result depends far more on that than on which camera was chosen.

The set arrives after the shoot

You film the person first, then choose what is behind them — and you can change it without another take.

Where it pays off

Four situations where the stage solves the problem

Putting a product into a set that doesn’t exist

The machine is filmed on the stage, the environment is built afterwards. That is how you show a product in a context nobody could book.

Holding brand guidelines to the pixel

On green screen, the background becomes brand space: colors, typefaces, animated elements — all decided rather than endured.

GF Customer Services

Compositing actors into a reconstruction

When the real place is dangerous, destroyed or off limits, we rebuild it in 3D and drop in the actors filmed on the stage.

BARPI — prevention

Producing fast, on a budget that holds

No location scouting, no travel, no weather. The stage is the only set whose cost is known in advance.

Questions we get asked

How much space do we need to provide?

A room of around 30 m² with 2.5 m of headroom is enough for a waist-up shot. What matters most is being able to black out daylight and having power sockets — we confirm both on the scout.

Can we use our own visuals as the background?

Yes, and it is the most common case: your factory footage, your diagrams or your brand set replace the green. They are prepared before the shoot, because their framing determines where the speaker sits in the picture.

How many videos can be shot in one day?

Between six and ten pieces to camera of two to three minutes, running speakers through on the same set. The limiting factor is rarely the technology — it is people’s availability and how well their script is prepared.
