The project
Making a construction site legible when you can’t show it
It was in those excellent conditions that we took part in creating an 3D animation explaining how the restoration works on the Grande Arche de la Défense would unfold. A computer-generated project whose aim was to make every stage of a site due for completion in 2017 simple and visual.

Technical 3D animation, when a photograph is no longer enough
A restoration project tells badly in real footage: the stages overlap, the important part is hidden, and the result doesn’t exist yet. 3D animation shows what can’t be seen — the order of operations, the inside of the structures, the finished state.
In return it takes tight back-and-forth between the engineering team and the studio: every shot is a technical statement, and a mistake in 3D is a mistake on site, on screen.
