While archiving some data, we came across our first drone flight — January 2012. A small DJI F450 quadcopter, which has grown up a good deal since.
Back then, however nimble it was, the GoPro 2 without a gimbal shook so much that the footage was unusable. Then free shooting came to an end and regulation arrived. We had to adapt: pass the microlight theory exam (Takeshi Hue) and have the drones approved for the S1 scenario, in the countryside, and S3, in town.
Today at Bluevista, three drones produce footage across all our video projects. We have followed each change in the regulations, and we bring new remote pilots on board as we go.
